Starting today, a number of important roads in the port area of Rotterdam will be added to the annual exceptional transport permit network that allows passage to vehicles weighing up to 100 tons. In close cooperation with the Municipality of Rotterdam, Rotterdam Port Authority, TLN and RDW, agreements have been made about the conditions under which these roads can be freed for vehicles weighing up to 100 tons.

At the request of the police, it is forbidden to park or to stand still on the N38 from Poperinge to the French border. Also on the N333 in Poperinge. This applies in both directions.
It is requested to stand still or park in the Sint Jansstraat in Poperinge and if this is impossible, to stand still on the R33 or the N38 between Poperinge and Ypres.
Read more »All tunnels receive regular maintenance. Each tunnel is then temporarily closed for traffic. To reduce the inconvenience caused, the work is done at night. Abnormal loads traffic may not follow the local diversion (outside the tunnel).
The width is restricted to 3 metres for traffic through one tunnel tube.
Transports wider than 3 metres are not allowed!
Note: for road works in the Kennedy tunnel, the exit ‘Linkeroever’ is closed to all traffic from the N70.

From 01/10/2013 a transitional period was granted for obtaining the new width signs with the new lettering. Link to page
This transitional period ended on 01/01/2016! Lots of inspections are expected in connection with this new legislation.
Therefore, it is extremely important to attach the square signs with minimum dimensions of 420x420 mm or 280x280 mm (only for application on abnormal load vehicles with a maximum width of 3.5 m). These must be supplied with alternate red and white diagonal retro reflective strips or the application of rectangular signs with minimum dimensions of 280x280 mm (only for application on abnormal load vehicles with a maximum width of 3.5 m) or 140x800 mm supplied with alternate red and white diagonal retro-reflective strips.
